Ericsson launches Dynamic Ad Insertion solution for OTT streaming

Ericsson will launch a dynamic ad insertion (DAI) solution for OTT streaming at NAB later this month, enabling broadcasters and service providers to personalize and better monetize multiscreen video services. Called MediaFirst Stream Personalization, it can work across multiple formats and with any player, offering the capability to insert ads in HLS, Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH.

The solution performs frame-accurate ad insertion and content replacement from the network and offers comprehensive usage logs which, when coupled with analytics, enable a deeper understanding of audiences and more accurate business intelligence.
