Ottawa-based multiscreen user experience specialist Espial will launch its Elevate cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to the European market at IBC, which features an award-winning user interface and a number of recently-added features, including voice control and Android TV support.
Elevate has so far been successfully deployed by 40 North American IPTV, cable and OTT operators. It offers them the benefits of a cloud-based approach – including flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency – which provides predictable costs and ensures they can deliver a rich and immersive video experience to subscribers across a wide range of devices, including set-top boxes, mobiles, and tablets.
Elevate is available as a turnkey video solution to ensure quick time to market for pay-TV services. It features advanced analytics together with a powerful segmentation engine that allows operators to test, deliver, and promote offerings to a single user, group, or the entire customer base; promotions management; and recommendations.
With the new voice control feature, users can quickly change channels; search the guide; review the VOD catalogue; play DVR recordings; and pause, rewind, or forward programming. Meanwhile, Android TV provides operators with a rich apps environment and a seamless UX which is consistent across other Elevate devices.
