TV solutions provider Viaccess-Orca is to showcase its new audience measurement service at IBC, integrated with conditional access module (CAM) specialist Neotion’s NEOTION CAM technology.
The VO Audience Measurement Service is integrated with its TV Business Analytics suite, and is designed to allow pay-TV operators to harness the power of their viewership data, with a view to increasing ARPU through the use of predictive analytics.
The NEOTION CAM Product allows owners of Integrated Digital TV Sets (iDTVs) and other devices containing European Common Interfaces (DVB-CI or CI Plus slots) to decode TV programming encrypted with different conditional access systems (CAS), using a plug-in CI-standard CAM.
Neotion’s CAMs are compatible with the ARRIS, CRYPTOGUARD, DRE CRYPT, and VERIMATRIX CAS and – in the case of the integration being shown at IBC – is being deployed using partner VO’s Adaptive Sentinel, dual-mode CAS, which supports both card-based (hardware) and cardless (software) CAS approaches.
This means that the CAM-based Audience Measurement Service can be rolled out by TV operators simply supplying NEOTION CAMs embedded with the VO system and standard Access Control Software (ACS).
