Sky has launched its latest standalone OTT/multiscreen streaming service, this time in Spain where consumers will get access to 12 of the country’s most popular Pay TV channels for EUR 10 per month, with no contract. The consumer brand is ‘Sky’. Viewers can enjoy the service on televisions via a Sky streaming box that is powered by the Roku streaming platform. There are iOS and Android apps for mobiles and tablets, plus browser access for PCs.
Alongside the linear channels, the service provides programmes and movies on-demand, from around the world, in Spanish language and predominantly in HD quality. A single subscription allows you to watch on up to three devices, all at the same time.
Andrew Griffith, Group Chief Operating Officer at Sky, declares: “We are now Europe’s leading streaming platform. Our customers in Italy, UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria already enjoy the freedom of contract-free streaming and we are thrilled to be bringing our new service to Spanish consumers.”
