Video ad serving platform SpotX has announced interoperability with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power server-side insertion of advertisements into streaming video, using the AWS Elemental MediaTailor service that was unveiled late last year. The cloud-based and pay-as-you-go AWS Elemental Media Services solution makes it easy to serve video with targeted ads to end users while maintaining broadcast QoS for multiscreen video applications. AWS Elemental MediaTailor can function as a standalone service or within a larger video workflow.
Working with AWS Elemental MediaTailor, the SpotX cloud-based ad serving platform provides secure, scalable and reliable solutions for the monetisation of live and on-demand multiscreen television and video, SpotX says. The company provides ad decisioning capabilities in server-side ad insertion environments, giving video providers the ability to insert high-value ads that are dynamically targeted to users. The resulting advertisements are optimised with video quality to match the content they are inserted into, and are simpler to manage across multi-platform environments.
“This interoperability is part of our ongoing commitment to servicing media owners regardless of what is available within their technology stack, and ensuring that our solutions perform seamlessly across different environments,” comments Jeremy Straight, SVP, Strategic Partnerships at SpotX.
