IBC 2018: Red Bee Media to focus on its Nucleus Services Portfolio at IBC

At IBC, media services company Red Bee Media will be highlighting its Nucleus Services Portfolio. This is a next-gen media management platform based on unified hybrid cloud technology, which includes availability of on-demand Cloud Transcoding, Automated Quality Control (‘auto QC’) services, and DRM Encryption.

An evolution of Red Bee’s existing Media Management Platform CMPP, Nucleus is already supporting broadcasters such as BBC Creative, UKTV and Channel 5 UK. The plan is that it will underpin Red Bee Media Management Services going forward: supporting the delivery of managed services in Media and Asset Management; Secure Storage and Archiving; Media and Metadata Enrichment; VOD/Linear Content Aggregation; Content Encryption; and Content Editing.

Steve Nylund, Red Bee Media’s CEO, says that the product represents a major investment by the company to enhance its existing multi-tenant platform. “With Nucleus we can cater to all media management needs,” he says, “and in today’s world of content reversion and distribution to multiple publishing points, we offer high flexibility, fast onboarding and a range of competitive commercial models.”
