NDS certification for 15 Broadcom set-top box SoC solutions

Broadcom has received NDS certification on 15 of its leading set-top box system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions. Broadcom’s platforms are now certified with NDS VideoGuard Security Kernel and DVB-CSA3 descrambler system that provide secure digital content delivery for next generation connected home devices. Broadcom’s STB SoC solutions also feature advanced whole-home connectivity that includes DLNA, MoCA and Ethernet, coupled with full HD 3DTV capabilities, and an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics processing unit (GPU) for an advanced 3D user interface.Certification has been achieved on the following Broadcom STB platforms: BCM7229, BCM7230, BCM7231, BCM7301, BCM3325, BCM7344, BCM7346, BCM7354, BCM7356, BCM7358,  BCM7418, BCM7421, BCM7422, BCM7424 and BCM7425.

The NDS Security Kernel is the latest generation of embedded security solutions from NDS designed to protect media content and operator services with future-proof technology to address changing market needs.
