Netgem’s service provider ambitions with Videofutur VOD platform
Netgem has moved a step closer to its ambition of becoming a Connected TV platform that can be used by multi-service operators in France. The company’s proposed acquisition of Videofutur Entertainment Group (Videofutur) and its cloud VOD service, which is delivered to multiple screens including connected TV devices, has been agreed by both company boards. The initial target market for the Connected TV offer is France but Netgem says the multi-screen cloud services platform developed by Videofutur will later be integrated within Netgem’s international offering.
