Operators can centralise ad insertion with CORTEX from ARRIS
ARRIS says its new CORTEX clustering software technology gives operators the ability to consolidate their ad insertion infrastructure into centralized, resilient systems where the delivery infrastructure is both reliable and expandable. “The technology will help cable operators cost-effectively grow capacity for HD expansions, improve operational efficiency, and preserve high run rates,” the company says.
CORTEX can be used with the ARRIS ConvergeMedia solution and has been designed specifically to meet the needs of ARRIS customers. The company says CORTEX provides more fault tolerance than previous clustering techniques and contrasts with systems using external applications to provide fail-over resiliency. It also improves infrastructure scalability and load-sharing capabilities.
