That is the view of Jason Wong, Director Product Marketing at TiVo, whose company is partnering with major operators to enable the integration of third-party online content as part of next-generation platforms. TiVo now offers a hybrid STB so operators using the TiVo platform have a non-DVR option, something that also means they can build whole-home solutions with the TiVo STB as an IP thin client on a home network.
