Cisco is using CES this week to introduce the third member of its Infinite Solutions suite: Infinite Broadcast. This is a multiscreen video solution for one-way and hybrid satellite and cable operators. The company has also revealed a customer for the solution – the Turkish satellite and Internet video provider D-Smart, which is using Cisco Infinite Broadcast to transform its D-Smart Blu multiscreen service.

“We needed a cloud solution that could support our need to quickly expand services across multiple screens,” explains ErdoÄŸan ÅžimÅŸek CTO at D-Smart. “We also needed a new user guide that could blend multiple sources of content. Cisco offered us a flexible cloud software solution to easily merge the worlds of online video and live broadcast TV.”

According to Yves Padrines, Vice President, Global Service Provider EMEAR at Cisco, “Infinite solutions help customers like D-Smart benefit from a system that allows them quick service introduction, with frequent updates that can be delivered in minutes versus months.”

In September Cisco announced the first two Infinite suite products that support the delivery of full-featured TV, namely Infinite Home (a multiscreen video solution for two-way telcos and cable operators) and Infinite Video (an OTT solution for content and service providers). Infinite Video now supports delivery of content to a broader range of devices, including Roku boxes, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV, and multiple companion and second screen devices, the company reported from CES this week.
