German video processing and media management system vendor Orad will give the first demonstrations of a new lightweight real time graphics rendering platform at IBC 2013. The platform called HDVG 2GO is a lighter and more compact version of Orad’s HDVG+ 64 bit real time graphics rendering platform.
Weighing less than 5 Kg HDVG 2GO supports the three principal HDTV formats of 1080p, 1080i and 720p, as well as standard definition, with up to four video outputs. It can introduce four live video feeds, as well as video clips, into the graphic scene with a minimal constant two frames delay. It can be used with Engine Framework, Orad’s software development environment, enabling users to create customizable controls for manipulation of interactive scenes, enhancement of big database sources, and operation of rich media events such as elections and big sports events. The HDVG 2GO platform can also be controlled by Orad’s Maestro and 3DPlay graphic control applications.
“The HDVG 2GO is ideal for outdoor sports productions which require powerful rendering combined with freedom of movement,†said Avi Sharir, CEO and President of Orad. “Its form factor is designed to provide broadcasters with outstanding mobility without sacrificing performance.â€
