Swisscom has partnered with Red Bee Media, which is due to provide the operator with IMDb ratings across its TV service offerings from this May.
The ratings will be provided for movies and TV shows on linear channels and for Teleclub On Demand Content across its TV Box, TV Air Web and TV Air Mobile services.
Red Bee is the exclusive global provider for IMDb ratings to TV platforms and the deal marks its first IMDb customer partnership in Europe.
“IMDb is one of the most trusted sources in the world for information and ratings about television and movies,” said Riccardo Lopetrone, Senior Product Manager for TV and Entertainment at Swisscom.
“We are happy to be able to add this feature to our TV offering with the help of Red Bee Media, making it easier for our customers to discover quality content.”
Red Bee Media’s Chief Service Portfolio Officer, Georg Mueller-Loeffelholz, said: “We are looking forward to start providing Swisscom with IMDb ratings, sharing data from the world’s most authoritative source for information and ranking on television and movie content.”
