Euronews – a pan-European news network based in France – has signed a partnership with the sports streaming service fuboTV. The deal will see Euronews offer fuboTV viewers 24/7 news coverage “from a European perspective”. Programming will include news bulletins, exclusive interviews, and dedicated shows covering topics like science, climate, business, technology, current affairs and culture. Euronews’ English language and Africanews’ English language edition are now accessible in the United States on fuboTV.

The news network has recently sought to expand its OTT presence, signing partnership agreements with several other streaming services over the past two years, including PlutoTV, Roku, Tubi, Plex and Distro TV. Euronews currently broadcasts in 160 countries and is distributed to 440 million homes – including 68% of European Union and United Kingdom households.

Maxime Carboni, Director of Worldwide Distribution at Euronews, says: “We are very excited about this cooperation with fuboTV. Expanding our reach in North America in the OTT market with a strong partner like fuboTV fits  perfectly with our successful business and audience growth strategy, which has  been transforming our access to U.S. consumers across the last two years. News continues to be an audience driver for the live TV experience and a place where innovation is critical. We are thrilled to share these values and continue our development in streaming with such a recognised partner like fuboTV.”

This partnership is the latest move by fuboTV to  enhance its offering to users in North America. Last year the streaming service secured exclusive U.S. rights to stream select UEFA football matches, via a six-year sublicense agreement with FOX Sports. FuboTV also won exclusive broadcast rights for Premier League games in Canada until the 2024/2025 season, as well as rights to stream matches from the Italian football leagues Serie A and Coppa Italia. This week fuboTV reached an agreement with NBCUniversal to give its viewers access to 2,800+ hours of NBCUniversal’s Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics coverage, including all competition sessions, live and on-demand.
