Accedo One – a SaaS platform which enables video experiences across multiple devices – will include hybrid business model support for video, in an industry first for an SaaS platform. Video solutions provider Accedo says the move will enable video service providers to easily and cost-effectively launch both subscription and advertising tiers in one video service. By “substantially increasing” monetisation methods within a single service, the company believes Accedo One will create “compelling new ROI options for video providers.”
Accedo will preview the solution at IBC 2022 and the feature will be commercially available from early 2023.
The company says it worked with a selection of industry-leading subscription, entitlement, and ad partners as part of the development process of Accedo One. Partners in the initial launch include Cleeng, Freewheel, InPlayer, Aptitude (formerly MPP Global) and Springserve.
